Organ System Integration

Human physiology operates through a highly integrated network of organ systems, each interacting to maintain overall function and homeostasis. This session explores the interrelationships between systems such as the nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, and renal systems. Complex regulatory feedback mechanisms, neuroendocrine integration, and immune-metabolic communication will be analyzed. The physiological basis of multisystem diseases such as sepsis, metabolic syndrome, and autoimmune disorders will be examined. By understanding organ system interplay, clinicians and researchers can better address systemic conditions, improve diagnostics, and develop comprehensive treatment strategies that consider the body as a cohesive whole.
